The Adam Telle Memorial Award in Mechanical Engineering was established by CDS-John Blue Company along with friends and family of Adam Stryker Telle for the purpose of supporting deserving students in the UAB School of Engineering. This fund most fittingly pays tribute to the life of Adam Telle and his own vibrant and promising career in engineering. Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and began his career as a design engineer at CDS-John Blue Company before his life was tragically cut short. Because of this endowment, Adam’s brief but incredible legacy to the field of engineering continues through the countless students who are able to set aside financial concerns and pursue their educational and career goals.

Dr. Bartolucci served in many roles at UAB including research scientist, author, educator, and administrator. It is most fitting that this endowment pays tribute to Dr. Bartolucci’s exemplary leadership, collaborative achievements, and devotion to UAB. Mrs. McCallum was a beloved and gracious First Lady during her husband’s tenure as President of the University, and she is remembered for her vibrant participation in the UAB family. The Annie P. and Ferris S. Ritchey Endowed Scholarship in Sociology was established by the Ritchey family to honor the memories of Annie Pharo Ritchey and Ferris S. Ritchey, Sr., and to provide lasting support to deserving students whose lives and careers will be influenced by its receipt. Annie and Ferris Ritchey settled in Birmingham in 1917, and their family grew to include 13 children. These descendants now total over 200 with more than 30 attending UAB.
